"Music Doesn't Have a Genre.
It's Just Music" ~Theresa Golden~
In the Media and on the Wall
As a vocal artist, Theresa Golden mesmerizes audiences everywhere with her soulful delivery of Gospel, R&B and Jazz genres. She is a highly favored alumni of the World Stage Jazz Vocal Music Workshop and has been a guest on various podcast.
Most Notably, Theresa is one of the selected community leaders chosen to appear on a mural in Los Angeles on the corner of Slauson and Crenshaw alongside Ermias Joseph Asghedom, aka Nipsey Hussle (Hu$$le), who created over $200 million in economic value for his community through business ventures and investments.
The mural, entitled “The Heart of Hyde Park”, is on the US Bank Building directly across the street from Marathon Clothing, Nipsey Hussle’s clothing store where he was gunned down on March 31, 2019.
The landmark mural, painted by Moses Ball, is across the street from the Metro Hyde Park Station celebrating community stories and serves as a love letter of hope and growth to the residents of Hyde Park.
It was led by LA Commons with technical assistance from Metro Art and funding from Transportation for America. Community partners for the mural include HOPE (Hyde Park Organization Partnership for Empowerment), Park Mesa Heights Community Council and the Los Angeles City Council District 8.
